Chiellini insists he has 'no grudge' against Luis Suarez

As the hype gathers pace towards the Champions League final between Juventus and Barcelona, undoubtedly, one of the key confrontations under the spotlight will be the competitive reunion between Giorgio Chiellini and Luis Suarez

The now infamous 'bite' by the Uruguayan on the Italian at the 2014 World Cup, landed Suarez a ban from international football which is still in force, along with a delayed return to club football last October with the Catalan giants, following his money-spinning move from Liverpool.

Since then of course, Suarez has been in exceptional form, and without any unsavoury incidents, as part of the hugely impressive 'MSN' trio, dovetailing his talent and scoring ability spectacularly well with Messi and Neymar.

At a press call on Tuesday, Juventus defender Chiellini was questioned by Mundo Deportivo, if there's likely to be any animosity between himself and Suarez, when the two players come face to face in Berlin.

The Italian centre-back responded calmly: "I don't have any problem with Suarez, and I don't hold any grudges."

Clearly signalling that as far as he's concerned, the 'biting' incident is water under the bridge, Chiellini stressed: "I'll mark him the same way I did Benzema," referring to the semi-final against Real Madrid.

As for the threat of Messi, Chiellini added: "We'll deal with Messi the same way we dealt with Cristiano, and Neymar, the same way we dealt with Bale."

Asked if there's one of the 'MSN' trio of Barcelona that stands out in particular, whilst expected to choose Argentine astro Messi, the 30-year-old simply suggested: "It's difficult to choose an individual amongst the three, because they all have a lot of quality."

Whilst there's no hiding the talk amongst Barcelona players, who have expressed their confidence of achieving a treble of silverware this season, when it comes to Juventus achieving the same Chiellino is a little more cautious, ahead of the Coppa Italia final against Lazio on Wednesday.

"Out strength is taking things one game at a time. We're not thinking beyond tomorrow, or 6th June. We just want to beat Lazio, then we'll see." He concluded.
