Xavi becomes first player to notch up 150 Champions League appearances

Xavi became the first player to rack up 150 Champions League appearances with his cameo display against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night

The Barcelona midfielder came on as a second-half substitute for Andres Iniesta as Luis Enrique's side were beaten 3-2 on the night in Bavaria.

However, Barca's 3-0 win at the Nou Camp in last week's first-leg means it is they who will contest June's final in Berlin.

Xavi, 35, has lifted European club football's top prize on three occasions and will have the chance to make it four titles next month.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas is currently on 149 appearances and will go level with Xavi should he play in Los Blancos' clash with Juventus on Wednesday night.
