Peter Crouch equals Alan Shearer’s Premier League record

Peter Crouch enjoyed a special day on Saturday after coming on as a substitute for Stoke against Hull  after he equalled Alan Shearer’s Premier League header record with his 71st minute goal

The former England striker scored the only goal of the game just one minute after being brought on when he nodded home Charlie Adam’s cross-field pass into the corner of the net.

The header was Crouch’s 46th in England’s top-flight, which not only allowed the Stoke man to net his fourth goal in as many games but also meant he equalled Shearer’s record in the Premier League.
