Angel Di Maria is moving closer to the exit door at Manchester United with PSG and Barcelona battling it out for his signature
It was claimed last week that Di Maria had asked his agent Jorge Mendes to find him a new club and now reports in Spain claim the two European giants are preparing moves for the player.
The Argentine has failed to find his best form at Old Trafford since his £59.7m arrival from Real Madrid last summer.
He made a bright start to life at the Red Devils with three goals in his first five games but has only found the net once since - against League One Yeovil in the FA Cup.
And an attempted burglary at his house in January has added to Di Maria's struggles settling in the North West.
PSG were desperate to sign the 27-year-old last summer but Financial Fair Play restrictions scuppered any deal.
But they have renewed their interest in recent weeks and are encouraged by Di Maria's comments earlier in the season that he would be interested in a move to the Ligue 1 champions.
He told Telefoot: "It could have been a good experience for me to go to Paris.
"I know I'm still young, perhaps I'll go to PSG one day. I don't know how it will all end."
Reports over the weekend suggested the French champions could offer Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani as part of a bid.
A move to Barcelona would be more complicated due to the Catalan giants being under a transfer embargo.
Di Maria would be unable to move to the Camp Nou until next January but Barcelona are thought to getting set to lay the foundations for future moves this summer.
