Arsenal beat Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool to historic FA Cup record

The Gunners have now reached more FA Cup semis than any other team in the competition's illustrious history

Arsenal have made it to 28 FA Cup semi-finals, a record that dates back to the days of Woolwich Arsenal, who reached the semis in 1906 and 1907.

Arsenal and United were neck and neck in the race to claim the outright honour before last night's game, both sides being on 27.

But, Arsenal's 2-1 victory at Old Trafford meant the Gunners take the record.

Nacho Monreal and former Red Devil Danny Welbeck sealed the win for Arsene Wenger's side last night.

The result also stretches Wenger's record of reaching the most semi-finals to 11.

Former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is next on the list with nine.
