Arsenal fan Piers Morgan vows to commit suicide if Man Utd beat them
Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has promised to sit in the electric chair and turn it on if they lose to Manchester United in tonight’s FA Cup sixth-round clash at Old Trafford
Former Daily Mirror editor and CNN host Morgan is a fierce critic of long-serving manager Arsene Wenger. But it appears he feels even an Arsenal side managed by Wenger should be able to see off Louis van Gaal’s United given their recent underwhelming performances.
Rather than put his money where his mouth is, Morgan has publicly declared that he will put his body where the volts are.
Writing on Twitter ahead of this evening’s game, Morgan wrote: “God, if Arsenal lose later… I will take myself to the electric chair AND turn it on.”
In fact rather than a ringing endorsement, it was more likely a statement of desperation following England’s Cricket World Cup exit earlier today, with Morgan fearing an Arsenal defeat would tip him over the edge.
