Brendan Rodgers says "there is a line I wouldn't cross" amid Chelsea referee crowding debate

Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers shows the red card to Paris Saint-Germain's Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers joined the debate over Chelsea's intimidation of Champions League referee Bjorn Kuipers claiming: "There is a line I wouldn't cross," writes Steve Bates in the Sunday People

Jose Mourinho's stars have been heavily criticised for besieging Dutch official Kuipers to send off Paris St Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic during Chelsea's Euro exit against the crack French side.

Mourinho has been accused of instilling a win at all costs mentality into his Chelsea side - but Rodgers reckons hounding referees is going too far.

"I can only talk about my own team on that and my history as a coach has shown that I always try to win games of football while having the best sporting behaviour you can have.

"People might call it naive but I call it respect. Yes we want to be super competitive and want to win and do everything to win, of course.

"But for me there is always a line I would never want my teams to cross and the behaviour of them on the field will demonstrate that in every team I take."
