Jose Mourinho: I’ve told my Chelsea players we’ve got a Premier League to win
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has told reporters at his press conference that he has told the players that they need to react as there is a Premier League to win
Chelsea took the lead at Stamford Bridge through Gary Cahill but former Blue David Luiz equalised late on with a fantastic header.
The goal forced extra time and although Chelsea went back in front through an Eden Hazard penalty it was PSG who went through with Thiago Silva scoring an even better than Luiz’s.
Speaking to reporters after the game Mourinho said that he told players now they must analyse the performance and not feel sorry for themselves.
He also said that he told them that they must react now and focus on winning the Premier League title.
The Blues have already won the Capital One Cup, beating Spurs in the final but they will be very frustrated to not have been able to progress into the next round of the Champions League.
On Sunday they face Southampton which will be a crucial match for them given how troublesome they found the Saints earlier in the season.
Premier League title rivals Manchester City are playing Burnley on Saturday and they will be feeling confident of closing the gap on Chelsea.
