Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata has insisted that he's been working hard to prove himself at Old Trafford
Writing in his blog after starring in the Red Devils' 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield yesterday, the Spaniard insisted that he will never forget the game as his two goals secured a crucial three points for his side in the race to secure Champions League football for next season.
The Red Devils moved five points clear of their great rivals, and it was Mata who stole the show on Merseyside.
n his blog, the tricky Spaniard said: "Obviously, I'm very happy with the effort and team performance, the importance of victory, and goals. It was a memorable day for me. As I have said repeatedly, I'm the same player as always, with the same desire and the same enthusiasm, the same capabilities and the same hunger for improvement. The work pays off, and I could live this Sunday.
"Win Liverpool in their stadium, have the fortune to score two good goals and feel the recognition of all of you is something I will never forget, but we have to be cautious and know that we only scored three points in the race toward our goal."
