Juventus: We dont Need to sell Pogba

Paul Pogba: Midfielder has been linked with move away from Juventus

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta has insisted the Serie A champions have no need to sell Paul Pogba amid interest from Manchester United and Chelsea

The 22-year-old Frenchman has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe, but Marotta dismissed talk that he is destined for a move away from Turin.

Chelsea and Man Utd have agan been linked with a move for the player, while Manchester City, PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid have all, inevitably been linked with the midfield powerhouse.

"Pogba is a young player with lots of promise but he is realising his potential,"  said Marotta after Juve beat Genoa 1-0 on Sunday.

"We want to win and we don't necessarily have to sell our best players. It is clear that players of this quality attract interest from other clubs but we don't seek buyers and there has been no contact."

Pogba left Manchester United on a free transfer to join Juventus in 2012, but the Red Devils appear keen to lure him back to Old Trafford with a reported £60m bid. Although they face a difficult task in trying to persuade Pogba to return, according to Sunday Times football correspondent Jonathan Northcroft.

"It’s difficult because Pogba felt disrespected by Sir Alex Ferguson and he left," he told the Sunday Supplement.

"I think he needs to be persuaded. Chelsea are in for him as well as too are PSG, but United are trying to throw money and wages at him."

Reports in France this week claimed PSG had already made a bid for Pogba although in the same reports the French league leaders denied that to be the case.
