Man Utd’s Victor Valdes writes reminder on his hand to train
Victor Valdes has one thing on his checklist for Thursday: training
The Manchester United goalkeeper has found his first-team opportunities limited since signing with the Red Devils earlier in this year.
The Spain international penned an 18-month deal in the January transfer window after he quit La Liga giants Barcelona at the end of last season.
The 33-year-old hasn’t played a top-flight game since the Spanish shot stopper injured his knee during a Barcelona game in March 2014.
However, the veteran goalkeeper’s enthusiasm for training certainly hasn’t been dampened after he uploaded a snap to his Instagram page on Thursday.
The photo showed the words, “training and training, written on the shot stopper’s hand, accompanied by the following caption: “Mi motivation today and always!
#metodov @librometodov”
Valdes won six La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns during a distinguished Barcelona career which started under Van Gaal in the early noughties.
United number one David De Gea has been linked with a big-money move to Real Madrid in recent weeks.
