Wayne Rooney appeared to laugh off his latest controversy after the Manchester United captain delivered a knockout blow at Old Trafford on Sunday

The 29-year-old appeared to be knocked unconscious by Stoke City defender Phil Bardsley in the Red Devils striker’s kitchen in a video which the Sun on Sunday published this morning.

The Potters full-back’s wife has since claimed that Rooney was acting in the video, and the striker had his own say on the incident after he scored United’s third against Spurs.


Rooney delivered a flurry of punches and fell to the turf before bouncing up to celebrate with his United team-mates.
