Chelsea captain John Terry became the joint highest goalscoring defender in the history of the Premier League on Wednesday night after finding the target against Leicester
The former England international was on hand to finish from close range after Kasper Schmeichel's save during the Blues' 3-1 win at the King Power Stadium to net the 38th league goal of his career.
The strike moved Terry, who has scored in each of the last 15 seasons in the top flight, level with former Everton defender David Unsworth.
Terry's Chelsea career is littered with crucial goals and he will almost certainly add to his impressive tally to take the title of most deadly defender all on his own.
Unsworth, who represented England once during a lengthy career that saw him play for no fewer than 10 English clubs, was famous for having a thunderous left foot.
The 41-year-old, who scored most of his goals during two spells with Merseyside club Everton, was a regular penalty-taker and free-kick specialist making Terry's feat of catching him even more impressive.
It was another vital goal from the Chelsea skipper, scoring the crucial second goal to put Jose Mourinho's side 2-1 up against a battling Leicester side that has won their previous four Premier League games.
The win means Chelsea will wrap up the title with victory against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
