Arsene Wenger: Danny Welbeck will be play against Manchester United

The England striker was a surprise omission in the Gunners' match day squad after picking up a knee injury

Wenger expects the 24-year-old to return before the clash with Swansea next Monday, and at the very latest against his former club Manchester United the following Sunday.

The Emirates boss said: "There's an inflammation in his knee - it doesn't look very bad but he isn't available for selection.

When asked whether he'll be back before the end of the season, Wenger replied: "Yes, I think so. I think maybe next Monday against Swansea, if not the game after (against United)."

Danny Welbeck's goal at Old Trafford knocked his old team out of the FA cup. Dont bet against him scoring again at Old Trafford again.
