37 year old striker Antonio Di Natale scored the only goal of the game today as Udinese beat 9 man Verona 1-0
The lovely backheel flick was his 206th Serie A goal, taking him to 5th in the all-time Italian goal standings above Roberto Baggio.
With no time to think, Di Natale showed off his excellent goalscoring instincts by flicking the ball underneath the onrushing Verona goalkeeper.
“I am happy for myself and my teammates, as we have beaten mighty Hellas Verona at their home”, Di Natale told Sky Sport Italia.
“We played good football throughout the game.
“I feel it is an honour to surpass Baggio’s record.
While asked about his future, Di Natale told it remains uncertain at this moment in time.
“I do not want to talk about my future now. Let us see what happens in the summer.”
