Arsenal vs Monaco: a fan's perspective
It was a dreadful performance from start to finish, i really can't blame the manager for i believe he was short of options in the centre of the park, Coquelin yellow card in the first half didn't help matters, i feel he still has a lot to learn and can't be completely trusted yet but i believe in his abilities.
Sometimes luck plays a big part in crucial matches like this one, take olivier Giroud for instance, we know he is clumsy nd could stray with his passes on occasions but he was never a player to squander six big chances in a game including tap ins.
Monaco were organized, strong in the tackle and won almost every second ball, Ozil was partially amiss and it never helps when your midfield link to the attack isn't on song. I could have used me an off form Ramsey today because he would still have fought for every ball and give us better balance. We got our tactics wrong, we lost sight, we were weak in the toughness department and the BFG had an horror show.
I still believe we have a chance if everyone is fit, we need Theo Walcott firing and Ozil would need to take a rest.
Play a midfield trio of Coquelin Ramsey Cazorla.
Play Giroud Sanchez Chamberlain.
Those two in the wings would protect and attack with great nerve, throw in a joker in Gabriel in place of BFG, we need a tough tackler not a game reader, i think we have a chance to progress if Wenger can lift the mood, get the tactics right and make us believe again.
