Burnley risk losing coveted striker Danny Ings for just £150,000 should he opt to join David Moyes at Real Sociedad.
According to FIFA rules, £150,000 is the standard compensation fee when a pre-agreement deal has been negotiated.
The Basque club flew the English striker into San Sebastian last weekend via private to meet with Moyes regarding a potential switch to Spain.
The former Everton boss is keen for Ings to pen a pre-contract agreement to ward off interest from Premier League giants Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham.
Losing Ings for such a poultry sum would be a crushing blow for the Lancashire club.
The 22-year-old could easily generate funds of up to £15 - £20m if he had longer remaining on his Clarets contract.
But despite the hype, former Burnley striker Robbie Blake has advised the 22-year-old to turn down the lure of Spanish football, and remain in the Premier League.
Blake said: "It would be a shame if he did go to Real Sociedad in my opinion because it wouldn’t further his career.
"He needs to move on and go to a top team in the Premier League this summer, a club like Liverpool or Tottenham."
