Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa say his side deserved the three points after beating Chippa United 2-0 at the Cape Town Stadium on Friday night
De Sa felt his players took the game to Chippa in the first half and did well to get two goals, but was not happy with the performance in the second half as the visitors controlled possession for large periods.
“We took the chances in the first half – second half we were playing for the result, and didn’t really play any fluid football,” said De Sa.
The former Orlando Pirates coach also said his side were the better team on the night and felt the Chilli Boys never posed much of a threat in front of the Ajax Goal.
“They never looked lie scoring, maybe one or two saves, but overall we deserved this one,” he added.
The result sees Ajax register their first win since November last year, which moves them into fifth place ahead of Polokwane City on goal difference, but also one game ahead.
