Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu and his predecessor Sandro Rosell have been indicted for tax fraud and fraudulent administration in a probe focusing on the signing of Neymar
An investigation is being overseen into whether Rosell misappropriated funds to hide the transfer cost paid to Brazilian club Santos for the striker in 2013.
Barcelona and their management have been accused of fabricating a labyrinth of contracts to hide the real cost of the transfer.
Spanish investigative magistrate Pablo Ruz says Neymar cost at least €83.3 million (£59.5m), while Barcelona insist they paid €57m (£40m).
Bartomeu took over when Rosell resigned in January 2014 after being named a suspect in the case and investigated for misappropriating funds.
Ruz officially accepted a petition brought by Barcelona club member Jordi Cases asking for the transfer to be investigated.
No trial date for Bartomeu or Rosell has yet been set.
