Wales boss Chris Coleman has slammed talk that Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo are no longer friends at Real Madrid
Bale has been under pressure from Real fans and the Spanish media, who have labelled the Wales wizard lazy and selfish - and said he should pass to Bernabeu hotshot Ronaldo more.
And the most expensive pair in world football will be under the spotlight again tonight when Carlo Ancelotti's men go to La Liga leaders Barcelona for El Clasico.
But Coleman insists recent reports in Spain claiming Ronaldo and Bale - who cost a combined £165million - have fallen out, are total rubbish.
The ex-Real Sociedad coach said: "When I read some of the stuff, it looks as if it is being made into a Ronaldo versus Bale situation.
"There are these pictures of Cristiano's expressions when Gareth has not passed to him. But I have no clue where all this is coming from.
"I was over there this season and can tell you, hand on heart, there was no problem between the two of them.
"Cristiano is who he is. His goal ratio makes him a freak - it's phenomenal. I just think he wants to score in every game. It's his personality.
"If he scores and Madrid win, then great. If Madrid win and he is not scoring, I'm not sure he likes that so much.
"He cannot help himself. He's on his own mission."
And Coleman believes that should there be any disharmony inside the Real camp, boss Ancelotti is the man to stamp it out.
He added: "Carlo is an impressive manager. If there's an issue with Cristiano and Gareth, he will deal with it in-house.
"But I have no worries about Gareth coping in Madrid."
