David Beckham has copied my career
Underwear model David Gandy reckons David Beckham has copied his career
The hunk, 35, sparked a battle of the boxers last night when he insisted Becks was shadowing his every move.
Gandy said he shot to fame by posing in a pair of white pants long before Becks pulled on undies for Armani.
And he bragged that Goldenballs, 39, launched his own whisky after he became the face of Johnnie Walker Scotch three years ago.
Gandy said: “Well, I did the white pants in 2006 and then he did Armani. I became an ambassador for whisky, and now he has his whisky brand.”
But he is keen to prove he is better than football idol Becks. Gandy revealed that he has splashed out to buy a luxury footwear brand.
He said: “Models are as popular as bankers! “You’re seen as a brainless idiot, paid a fortune to do very little.
“I don’t want to just be known as the man in the pants.
“People should be proud there are two Essex guys taking on the world, promoting Britishness.”
