Southampton's plan to stop Clyne moving to Man Utd and Schneiderlin to Arsenal
Southampton have offered double-your-money deals to Nathaniel Clyne and Morgan Schneiderlin
England full-back Clyne is currently on £25,000 a week and his contract is up at the end of next season.
Saints want him to agree a new deal for at least two more years, worth £45,000 a week to keep him out of the clutches of Manchester United.
France midfielder Schneiderlin has a year longer on his contract.
The south coast side aim to extend it and bump up his pay to £60,000 to fend off interest from Tottenham and Arsenal, who have been long-term admirers.
Saints are currently seventh in the Premier League, but just four points off a Champions League place.
Their surprising success this season came despite selling a string of star players last summer, including Luke Shaw to Manchester United, Calum Chambers to Arsenal and Dejan Lovren, Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana to Liverpool.
Boss Ronald Koeman is bracing himself for more big name exits this summer.
But he is determined to fight to keep his top talent and has upped the ante in a bid to persuade key men Clyne and Schneiderlin to stay.
