Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane is now a Ballon d’Or 2016 contender according to bookmakers

Harry Kane’s goals for Tottenham this season have been met with a barrage of memes declaring he should win the Ballon d’Or – and that could now actually be the case

The 21-year-old has struck an incredible 29 goals in all competitions this campaign, earning him his first senior call-up to the England squad.

And his efforts are continuing to get international recognition after a series of bookmakers started offering odds of 150/1 for the Spurs man to win the Ballon d’Or next year.

It’s obviously unlikely, but those odds put him on a par with the likes of David de Gea, Andrea Pirlo and Andres Iniesta in some markets.

Still, at least we don’t put too much pressure on our brightest youngster.
