DE BRUYNE PUT TO TEST AT THE SPORT BILD AWARDS ABOUT HIS COMMITMENT TO THE CLUB.
Kevin De Bruyne's agent has insisted that no decision has yet been made on his client's future, and he is furious that the Wolfsburg player was asked a surprise question at an awards ceremony in Germany.
De Bruyne, who was the subject of a £47m bid from Manchester City earlier this month, was asked by the Sport Bild-Award presenter to repeat "I, Kevin De Bruyne, will definitely be playing for Wolfsburg this season" in German, which is not his strongest language.
Wolfsburg are understood to be unhappy with the incident and an angry Patrick De Koster, De Bruyne's intermediary, subsequently told Sky Sports News HQ that he is still waiting on word of an agreement between City and the Bundesliga club.
"I am furious by what has happened tonight," De Koster said.
"Kevin wanted to show respect by attending this event. No decision has been made on Kevin's future in this transfer window.
"We have yet to find out if Wolfsburg has reached any agreement with a club. Kevin remains a Wolfsburg player and is focused on his job at the club. He also remains happy at Wolfsburg."
De Bruyne has started in Wolfsburg's opening three fixtures of the season, scoring in the German Cup win over Stuttgart Kickers, but his current club have admitted they are expecting another offer from Manchester City for the forward.
The 24-year-old began his career at Genk before an ill-fated move to Chelsea in 2012 in which he made only three Premier League appearances and spent time on loan at Wolfsburg before a permanent move last year.
