Angel di Maria puts house up for sale
Manchester United midfielder Angel di Maria has put his house up for sale, one month after intruders attempted to break into the £4.1 million mansion in Prestbury
This is according to the Manchester Evening News, who understand Di Maria and his family have no intention of returning to the property following the ‘terrifying raid’ which took place in the days prior to United’s 3-0 home win over Cambridge United in the FA Cup fourth round last month.
Di Maria, who is currently residing in a Manchester-based hotel with his wife and young child, has struggled for form over the winter months - leading to speculation that he could leave Old Trafford as early as this summer. And this latest development promises to add yet more fuel to the fire.
French champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keen to sign Di Maria this summer, a year after failing to bring him to the Parc des Princes, while United are reportedly considering using the money generated from the Argentina international’s sale in order to launch a bid for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
Di Maria insists he is happy at Old Trafford, but the effect of such an ordeal on him and his family cannot be understated, as Gary Neville recently explained in his latest Telegraph column.
