Thierry Henry believes Radamel Falcao will come good for Manchester United
Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry believes Radamel Falcao still has a part to play for Manchester United.
Henry told The Sun on Sunday that the attitude of the Colombian international is encouraging amid his difficult loan spell.
Falcao signed on loan from AS Monaco on transfer deadline day in September after overcoming a serious knee injury which ruled him out of the World Cup, but has scored just four goals for the Red Devils.
Henry says he feels the move came too soon, but there is still a chance for him to become a hero.
The Frenchman said: "He has never properly recovered. I am lucky that I never had to deal with that type of situation. But I still think Falcao will deliver some goals for Manchester United.
"It is hardly easy when you are not playing regularly. But the guy is refusing to hide, he is doing everything — and I am sure he will make some contribution for Louis van Gaal over the next few weeks."
Falcao came off the bench in the win over Liverpool, which is progression for the loanee as he has been an unused substitute in recent matches.
With an international break in which to reflect and recharge, it could do the forward good to head back to South America with his national team before the final stretch of the season.
United still have huge games to come against Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal, matches Falcao missed earlier in the Premier League season through injury.
If he can score a crucial goal in any of these games, the perception of his much maligned season at Old Trafford could begin to shift positively.
