Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore was left counting the cost of his wild celebration after scoring the opening goal against West Brom on Saturday
The 24-year-old, on a season-long loan from Premier League rivals Tottenham, lashed out and booted a $22,000 camera positioned behind Ben Foster's goal.
Photographer Richard Heathcote later posted a picture of the damaged camera on his Twitter account and tweeted: 'Dear @29_JL (Livermore) where do you want me to send the repair bill?'
Sorry Livermore quickly contacted Heathcote on Twitter and offered to pay for the damage with the hashtag #celebrationneedswork.
And he also pledged to donate the same amount to team-mate Tom Huddlestone's hair-raising charity initiative - the midfielder has vowed not to cut his hair until he scores his next goal, with the proceeds donated to Cancer Research.
Watford fan Heathcote added: 'Thanks, jump next time... looks much better in photos.'
