Olivier Giroud wants to score more goals than Alexis Sanchez

Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez are currently tied at 13 league goals, but the Frenchman is desperate to stay ahead of Sanchez in Arsenal's bid to secure a Champions League spot.

Arsenal are currently sitting in third position in the Premier League - just a point behind second-placed Manchester City.   

Speaking to French website RMC, Giroud said:  “I'm not going to say something silly because it'll be reported, but why not finish ahead of Alexis?”

“We push each other, we're on 13 goals, and I would like to score some more to help the team achieve its objectives.”

Olivier Giroud has 3 assists in the premier league while Alexis Sanchez have 7.
