Barcelona striker Lionel Messi has become the latest superstar to become a waxwork at Madame Tussauds in New York
The waxwork shows the little wizard in a running motion as the creators replicate game play from Argentina’s matches during the 2014 World Cup campaign in Brazil.
It took four months for the wax version of Messi to be completed with more than 250 measurements from both photo and video references used.
Messi’s figure will appear in the studio’s interactive area where fans can try and replicate their favourite players’ shots in a virtual arena.
Fellow sporting superstars Serena Williams and Muhammad Ali are also represented in the Sports Zone.
There are also replica wax works of the footballer at Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam, Beijing, Tokyo and Wuhan.
